You must know how search engine optimization (SEO) is sometimes best served by setting aside the general rules of Keyword density, writing and usability. For instance, it needs more repetition than your first editor taught you were appropriate. But changing the writing rules is not a one-way street.
The right SEO is not only aimed at first-page ranking. Ranking is good. Actually, ranking is advisable. But SEO ranking is not the same as business, and you should always remember this. Does your company website appear in Google's top three for the right keyword search? Great! But if it's in top three and then customer clicks through, only to find a poorly-written mess of content, and then do you think they'll definitely buy?
In usability training seminars, you can learn about the phenomenon of user trust. Little things can make a visitor to your website either to rely or not to rely on you. Lose the trust of user and you lose business.
Here is a quote from an article on SEO topic. I made an effort to read the entire article, but in the end gave up!
There are many ways to attract traffic to a website but search engine article submission is known to be the most effective technique, as search engines don't recognize Flash content, images and symbols but texts. They read and index only text. SEO content writing is an important strategy of this search engine submission. Paying a great priority on keywords and key phrases, search engine optimized websites let you find relevant information on internet without any difficulty.
From the editor’s point of view, you can easily notice missing commas in many places and then "texts", instead of text. The sentences are all poorly composed; the writing is stiff and difficult to read. "Paying a great priority" is a nonsense phrase-did the author mean "giving priority," or "paying attention"? Notice, "on internet" instead of, "on the Internet", in the last sentence.
As a teacher, you might give that paper a C-. If I was an editor, I'd perhaps give it back to the author for a complete rewrite rather than fixing it. If I had hosted this web I'd be ashamed to put it on my website-and so will you. You shouldn't have to compromise the quality and integrity of your website for SEO. Expert SEO services like Click Response will not harm your website on behalf of
search engine optimization.
There's one more thing that loses user trust and that is spelling mistakes. Think about it: If you visit a website and find it messed up with misspelled words, would you feel good when giving the money to this website owner? They might be as sloppy with your business as they are with language! You might be thinking about embedding misspelled keywords on purpose; after all, your prospective customers will search on a misspelled word. There might even be two correct ways to spell a word, but quality writing demands consistency: Only one version should be used. An inconsistency or a mistake on your landing page undermines user trust; instead, include alternate spellings in meta-descriptions, it's truly best of both worlds.
